YMCA Camp Eberhart’s equestrian programs combine safe and healthy horses, trained staff, and excellent facilities to create a positive atmosphere where campers can focus on horses. These programs allow our campers the opportunity to advance their horseback riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge, and enjoy riding with friends.
We feature a herd of well-trained horses of a variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. Plus, all YMCA Camp Eberhart horseback riding programs are instructed by equestrian-trained, CPR/First Aid certified staff. Our goal is to teach participants the fundamentals of riding while developing skills, coordination, confidence, and self-esteem.

YMCA Camp Eberhart provides scholarship assistance for all of our programs. If you would like to participate in one of our equestrian programs but need financial assistance, please contact our camp office for more information.
We are continuing to build our permanent herd and could always use a few more quiet, well-trained ponies or horses for beginning riders. Donated horses should be between the ages of five and fifteen, be sound, kind, and tolerant. Please recommend to anyone looking for a loving home for such horses – we have plenty of TLC for them!
